February Meeting

Due to a data failure I lost all the pictures I took at quilt guild meeting on the 8th of February.  (all 20 pictures)  We had such a great time showing all the blocks and quilts that were made.  So next month bring your projects again and we will take pictures of them again.  We tried something new with the block of the month ....everyone that had finished a block stood together for a picture.  It was fun to see the different colorways.  And remember we do not scrutinize your sewing we just look at them altogether to see the colors used.

Here is the directions for the next block.. It is called Elizabethtown Square.

We were also told about a book that answers any questions you might have about quilting...It is called "The Quilting Answer Book"  and here is a link to Amazon if you want to check on it. Click Here to go to the listing on Amazon.

Also we were shown a great little fabric calculator.  Click HERE to see it on Ebay. If you Google it you can see all the places to buy it.

There is also a great calculator to load on your smart phone.  I have it on my Samsung Galaxy and use it a lot to figure out how much fabric I need for borders and backing.  It is from Robert Kaufman fabric and is called QuiltCalc.  You can find it in the app store and is free!

A flyer was also shown for the Snow Goose Festivals Quilt Show and classes.  The pictures of the flyer were lost but click HERE to go to the BlogSpot to learn more.  The Quilt Show is always great and Ladies Night is very fun!!!

Here is another page to add to the roster, with our newest members on it. If you need the entire roster check back on previous posts for the earlier pages.

Our next meeting will be on the 14th of March at 11 am at the Library.

Sorry again for the lack of pictures of show and tell.
