January 9th meeting

Happy New Year to all!!

We had a fabulous meeting this month.

We will start (as usual) with Show and Tell:

Cindy made a cute quilt (sorry its so blurry)

 Alison made a table runner

 Larona made a flannel rag quilt

 Donna made a gorgeous quilt

 Judy brought her framed quilt samplers...I only got a picture of one (sorry Judy) and it had a bad glare from the windows...I promise I will get pictures of the rest and post them later.

 Melanie's son that is on a mission sent her this quilt top and she wanted ideas on how to finish it up.  He hand sewed the entire thing.

And Sue made the cutest bibs....

 And this is an antique quilt

Last month someone was talking about doing a string quilt blocks so Susan P  brought some she had done a couple of years ago.  Everyone seemed interested in trying them, so our meeting in February will be learning this technique.  Here are a few she showed us.

And the rest of the meeting was spent making Ironing Board Extensions.  It was great with people helping each other..

 Both Sue and Cathy's husbands came to help..We want to give them a big shout out of THANKS!!!

This was a block done on the Craftsy Block of the Month Class for 2012.  It is a free class and if you click here it will take you to the Craftsy site where you can sign up and access the 2012 class. There is a video for March's blocks.
