On-Time Drawing
Arleen Reid won our morning drawing. She won a small canvas covered with fine sandpaper. Put a square on it. It stays in place when you draw a diagonal line on the square. It holds anything in place.

Tips, Tricks, and Techniques
We talked about storage solutions for quilting products.
Tafta Watson presented some ideas for storing quilting equipment. After she showed some ideas, everyone shared a storage idea that they use. Here are some ideas that were shared.
Tafta showed how she stores some of her rulers. Long rulers are stored on hooks that hang over the sewing room door.
She stores smaller rulers in two accordion files. The names of the files are listed on the front of each file. Inside the files, the tabs are labeled with what files is behind that tab.
A master sheet lists rulers she has and where they are stored.
Another way to store rulers is to use file folder holders. They can be plastic, metal, or other materials.
Ellen Harmon's husband, Claire, made this ruler holder for her.
Tafta and Ellen all showed plastic containers that they use to store projects and other items. Suzanne Hillestad said she stores scraps in her plastic containers.
Arleen Reid talked about her thread holders. One they bought from Doug's cousin, the other her son, Eric, made for her.
Here is another way to store thread.
Marcia Rogers stores her Jelly Rolls, Layer Cakes, and other pre-cut fabric. and kits in totes.
Show and Share
Judy Womack displayed her delightful denim quilt with embroidered cowboys. She used machine applique, hand, and machine embroidery.
Valene Haupt brought this delightful star quilt. The back is charming too. I'm sure Valene did her own quilting.
